Would you believe me if I told you this is actually a pretty good movie? Have we developed that kind of relationship? And if not, why not? What did I ever do to you? You can’t expect to be close to people if you keep shutting yourself off emotionally. Yes, there’s a certain security in that, granted. But it’s cold comfort when you want to discuss the season finale of Walking Dead with somebody who’s Sitting Alive right there with you.
So, let’s start over. I’m telling you this is a pretty good movie. You will laugh more than you thought, the movie itself seems to be in on the joke, which is the best case scenario, and you won’t even hate Channing Tatum. That one guy from New Girl is in it, and his bio on IMDb says he’s part Irish. So keep the St. Pat’s spirit alive by seeing this, or something.
I feel like this is a crucial point in our collective history. We can look back on this and you’ll be all, “remember when I thought 21 Jump Street would suck and you said it was good and then it was?” And I’ll be like, “yes”. Bridges, not walls. That’s what I’m saying.
