In the first chuck and beans comics, beans has a 3 year old kid and a wife. Chuck has a wife/grlfriend who is pregnant. So why are there so many comics about them hitting on woman?

Long story short, it’s just a little something called “lack of continuity”, blooper13.
Back when Chuck & Beans began, they were just two unnamed characters I kept drawing without much consideration of who they were, where they’ve been, or where they’re going. In fact the earliest comics weren’t even called Chuck & Beans, they were just part of the Brian’s Brain comics i was drawing at the time. I’ve since gone back and renamed the old comics if only so curious readers could see where they began.
Sorry for the confusion and rest assured that Chuck isn’t a deadbeat dad.

Just wanted you to know that I found your comic through a friend, and read the entire archive in one sitting when I felt I could use some cheering up. It was wonderful! Thanks for writing such funny comics.

Easily the nicest thing I’ve read in a long time. Thanks so much for the note! :)
Well yeah, so you can jump out the window.
